Services and rates listed below are to give you a ballpark idea of what it will cost to receive my support on your project. Please know that on a discovery call, rates that differ from these may be discussed and negotiated based on your particular project and needs. Bundled services are available and have a slightly different price structure. A contract and letter of agreement will be created and signed prior to work commencing.
Book Muse Services:
This is far and above book coaching. Services are designed to support you to reach into your deepest depths of soul longing and expression to write a book from your heart.
1:1 Clarity Session- 90 minutes: $180
One-on-one session for new clients considering a writers package, or for writers who need to get clear on their writing goals. These one off sessions are also available for past clients who need support moving through occasional creative blocks.
Three 1-hour zoom sessions: $450
This is an introductory package to support you to get clear on your writing topic, and decide if you are ready to commit to writing your book.
Six 1-hour zoom sessions: $850
An extended introductory package to take you beyond clarifying your writing topic, and into the structures needed to create your outline and working tagline or hook for a book.
Topics for weekly calls are designed to your needs and can include:
-Getting clear on the vision, mission, and heart of your book
-Meeting the Spirit of your book
-Meeting and moving with the muses and obstacles of your book writing process
-Prompts and tools to keep you writing
-Organizational tools to keep you accountable to your writing process

Weekly 1-hour calls (four calls per month) for structural and organizational components of your writing process. At the end of the 6 months, you will have a proposal to submit to publishers, if that is your goal, and be well on your way writing chapters for your manuscript (subject to your individual pace of writing and creative process).
Includes a monthly review of your writing for each month with suggestions for improving content, flow, voice, and consistency.

Creating your book proposal
This is the bedrock of your book writing process, whether you go with a publisher or choose to self-publish, so it is worth spending resources on. Kelley will work with you to get clear on, and to write the necessary components of your proposal, which includes, Overview, Introduction, Marketing and Competition Analysis, Outline, and Sample Chapters.
Fee for completed proposal: $1,000-$1,200 depending on project.

Refining your book proposal
This service is provided if you already have a book proposal written. Kelley will review it, and if it is workable but needs some refinement, she will advise you on cost.
Fee: $600-$800 depending on how much refining is needed.

Full Manuscript Evaluation
This is the first phase of the editorial process. Manuscript evaluations are a complete read through of your manuscript to assess it for strengths and weaknesses. You will receive a 2-3 page report that provides an overview of certain issues for you to address prior to the next editing step, which is developmental editing. Manuscript evaluations do not include edits, and does not involve giving feedback on a page by page basis (these concerns are addressed with a separate editorial step called line editing, which is listed below as a separate service)
Flat rate fee: $1200-$1500, based on 60,000 words. Most nonfiction books are between 50,000 and 80,000 words.
If your book has 10 chapters, it will generally be a two-to-three-week turnaround. If your book has 20 chapters, it will generally be a four-to-five-week turnaround for the report to be returned to you. Timeframes depend on the project and will be negotiated at time of contract.
Partial manuscript evaluations are possible. Fee is $300-$500 based on 20-25 double-spaced pages.
